Dr Flora Cheong is an Australian General Practitioner with more than 10 years of clinical experience across hospital and community medicine. She graduated from the University of Queensland and completed her training through major tertiary hospitals including Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before moving into comprehensive private general practice.

She has developed an extensive referral network and works closely with many of Brisbane’s most respected specialists, allowing patients to access high quality multidisciplinary care when needed while still maintaining continuity through their GP.

Flora has developed a particular interest in women’s health, lifestyle medicine and metabolic health, with a focus on helping patients improve energy, hormonal wellbeing, weight, confidence and long term quality of life. Her approach combines evidence based medicine with practical lifestyle strategies, recognising that many chronic health issues are interconnected through sleep, stress, hormones, nutrition, weight and mental wellbeing.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, Flora works with patients to understand the broader drivers behind fatigue, weight gain, hormonal symptoms, metabolic dysfunction and long term health risks. She is particularly passionate about helping women navigate complex life stages including contraception decisions, reproductive health, perimenopause, menopause and preventive health screening in a calm, supportive and judgement free environment.

Flora believes in longer consultations and developing a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s background, lifestyle, stressors and overall health picture in order to provide truly individualised care rather than quick transactional medicine.

Flora is known for her warm and thoughtful communication style and for taking the time to listen carefully to her patients. She enjoys building long term therapeutic relationships with individuals and families from all backgrounds.
